Book Talk: Favorite Love Quotes

book-talk

I know I’m not the only one out there who says that they love love. Because I freaking do. Even though it’s no longer Valentine’s Day, I’m still in the mood for romance. This is probably because I literally went ham in February and read so many romance books that all the plots are just blending all together. I’m an old soul when it comes to romance. I like all that cheesy stuff, the kind that melts your heart and sends butterflies in your stomach. If you couldn’t guess, I’m a hopeless romantic. Wanting to stay in this romance bubble longer, I bring you my favorite love quotes!

Favorite Love Quotes

**The following quotes will contain spoilers for the respective books! Please skip them if you don’t want to be spoiled!**

acowar

A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas

At this point, you really shouldn’t be surprised by the fact that I have a quote from this series. I am the world’s biggest Feyre and Rhysand shipper and their love transcends all love, both fictional and reality. They. Are. Goals. I love this quote because it was just so innocent and beautiful. I loved the words Rhys said before it and after. After everything they both went through, it was like a breath of fresh air.

“And if I had not met my mate… I would have waited five hundred more years for you. A thousand years. And if this was all the time we were allowed to have… The wait was worth it. I believe that everything happened, exactly the way it had to… so I could find you.”

clockwork princess

Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare

Another predictable one. This has got to be one of my favorite proposals. Will Herondale was so freaking slick when he said (something along the lines of), you can have a Shadowhunter name. You can have mine. *jaw drops* Honestly, if I was Tessa, he wouldn’t even need to continue. I would loooooove to be a Herondale!

“Marry me. Marry me, Tess. Marry me and be called Tessa Herondale. Or be Tessa Gray, or be whatever you wish to call yourself, but marry me and stay with me and never leave me, for I cannot bear another day of my life to go by that does not have you in it.”

adorkable

Adorkable by Cookie O’Gorman

For the hundredth time … please read Adorkable! I love Becks and Sally. Or what they call Bally (although I thought it should’ve been Secks hahah). They are so precious. They match each other in every way and this quote has me fangirling. It’s such a Sally thing to say about her best friend and boyfriend.

“He was my Huckleberry, my Han Solo, my one, but most of all he was my Becks and I was his Sal.”

torch against the night

A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir

If I could quote every single thing that Elias thought of Laia, I totally would. In An Ember in the Ashes, their relationship was that slow burn and it was lovely. What I loved about Torch was how much Elias pushed Laia to be better and stronger. She was already strong but he was there to support her and that was just beautiful to read. When I first read this quote. I cried. No lie. I freaking bawled my eyes out and my heart imploded. I felt it with every fiber of my being.

“You are my temple. You are my priest. You are my prayer. You are my release.”

the one

The One by Kiera Cass

After all the drama of the selection, we finally get to see who America and Maxon choose. Then we see it all crumble within the next couple of pages. No other book made me feel the way the ending of The One did. It was wild. Remember? Maxon finds out about Aspen and America after he proposes to her. Feeling betrayed, he chose to marry Kriss instead. Then the freaking rebels shoot everyone, including Maxon after he jumped in front of the bullet intended for America *cries forever* and then he says this:

“Break my heart. Break it a thousand times if you like. It was only ever yours to break anyway […] I’ll love you until my very last breath. Every beat of my heart is yours. I don’t want to die without you knowing that.”

come-back-to-me

Come Back to Me by Mila Gray

This book was a traumatic emotional ride from start to end. It was everything in a contemporary romance book that I wasn’t looking for. It surprised me. It made me laugh but mostly, it made me cry. It was difficult to choose, would you rather her brother live or her boyfriend. Either way, it was a heartbreaking thing. After Kit goes off the deep end, he ruins his relationship with Jessa and reading his letter to her, begging her to wait for him to really come back was just ugggGHHhhhhHH!

I can’t stop loving you. I won’t ever stop. You’re in my blood. You’re the only thing that got me through this, Jessa. Because even during the bad times, the worst times, the times I’d wake up in a cold sweat, my heart thumping, the times I’d think the only way out was by killing myself and just having it all go away, I’d think of you and it would pull me back out of whatever dark place I’d fallen into. You’re my light, Jessa. My north star. You asked me once to come back to you and I told you I always would. I’m working on it.

It might take me a little while, and I know I have no right to ask you to wait for me after everything I’ve done, but I’m going to anyway because the truth is I don’t know how to live without you. I’ve tried and I can’t do it. So please, I’m asking you to wait for me.

What are some love quotes that have stuck to you? Let me know below!

I’ve had Come Back to Me on my kindle for ages and I’ve STILL not read it. I already know I’m going to love the book, even if it emotionally traumatises me, and that letter just crushed me and made me all gooey inside.

    • Hahah I went into Come Back to Me knowing it was going to traumatize me and I still loved it. That letter was everything. It was so hard picking a quote from that book because there was just so many. I hope that you read it soon and love it as much as I did!
